Service Description
Play in the Park is a program designed to foster language development through play and caregiver coaching. With a therapeutic approach, it is ideal for "late talkers" children who use limited vocabulary, or those who struggle to combine words into phrases. The program is inclusive of all children, regardless of neurotype or developmental skills. Once you select your exact desired dates to join in, a pay link will be sent to you via text for payment. Payment must be made no later than 48 hours prior to group's meeting date. Only in cases of inclement weather such as same day rain showers or insufficient enrollment (less than 3 children per group) will refunds be honored. 2025 SUMMER SCHEDULE- PLAY GROUPS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE FOLLOWING DATES: Saturday, June 28th Saturday, July 12th Saturday, July 26th Saturday, August 9th These groups are designed for children 2 to 10 years old and their parent/caregiver. Children ages 2 to 5 - group meets at 10:00am - 10:40am Children ages 6 to 10- group meets at 10:45am - 11:25 am In addition to opportunities for natural play for children, their parents or other caregivers will be offered valuable language strategies that can be immediately implemented. Children will be encouraged to join in the fun, interact with peers, take turns, solve problems, communicate, build confidence, and develop independence! Sessions are $35 Terms & Conditions: *A responsible adult must remain with each child at all times throughout the program. *Space is limited-- we will cap the group at 5 families to ensure safety and individualized attention. Siblings may attend but would need separate enrollment. *Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, a sweater or light jacket and snacks each day! * These events do not have scheduled rain dates. In case of inclement weather, any payments collected by Say It Loud Speech and Language Services may be refunded or applied toward future 'Play in the Park' event dates, at the client’s discretion. ** If your child is monolingual Spanish or bilingual Spanish/English speaking, sessions are being offered with inclusion of English-only speaking children in these play sessions. Instructions and strategies will be offered to parents, caregivers, and children in both languages as necessary.
