Expanding Expressions – Play Pairings for Gestalt Language Processors IN THE PARK Sessions offered at: 9:00 am- 9:30am (ages 2-4) 9:35 am - 10:05 am (ages 5-6) Saturdays September 21, September 28, October 5th, and October 12th Best for children ages ranging from ages 2 to 6. Join us this Fall! Enjoy the crisp autumn air and outdoor play in our Expanding Expressions – Play Pairings for Gestalt Language Processors Play Group. This program brings children together to interact and play while a trained speech-language pathologist provides language modeling and introduces both novel and familiar play opportunities. Children will be paired based on similar ages as well as interests (as best possible!), such as their love for playing chase, collecting pine cones, and their other natural loves such as numbers, letters, animals, bubbles, and more! These thoughtful pairings are designed to create natural opportunities for language modeling, shared joy, and child-led fun session. This group setting is ideal for fostering communication skills and matching children for engaging play sessions designed to support their unique language processing needs. If your child has been identified as a Gestalt Language Processor and you'd like to have them meet others that think and talk like them, then this group is for you & your child! INFORMATION: *Expanding Expressions will be offered as play pairings permit. Pairings will be made according to age, matching interests, and gestalt level use. Pairings will be limited to 3 children maximum children in each group pairing to maximize support and quality of play between peers. Expanding Expressions in the Park does require the accompaniment of children by the parent or caregiver. Sibling enrollment will be considered on a case-by-case basis. In the event of inclement weather, make-up play sessions will occur on the following Sunday if weather permits. If not, accommodations can be made to bring this activity indoors in our office on Sunday. In mid-late October, Expanding Expressions will be moving indoors to our Bound Brook office and children will be paired with 1 child due to space availability.
